Frequently Asked Questions

What is a stump grinder?

A stump grinder is a machine with a large, circular blade or cutter wheel. It is small enough that a single person can move into place and operate it, but it’s big enough that clearance and right of access may be an issue. We have stump grinders of various sizes that allow us to work in most locations.

What is a professional consultation?

A professional consultation is a chargeable diagnostic visit by a Tree Care Professional to assess larger properties or projects. A consultation includes identifying issues, taking samples and developing a plan of action to preserve the health and value of your trees. Additionally, we provide a host of expert services for insurance, legal and preservation efforts that can affect the trees on your property.

How do I water my newly seeded lawns?

Once the seed is watered, it must remain moist by rainfall, irrigation or hand watering. Watering should begin immediately. The soil should be moistened to a depth of 2 to 3 inches to help encourage the roots to grow. Deep watering promotes deep roots and deep roots help grass to stay healthy.

I'm not sure how to describe my pruning goals

You have a variety of options when it comes to pruning your trees.  Sometimes there is a specific goal you are trying to solve and other times there may be a particular aesthetic you are looking to achieve.
